Who This Is The Right Card For
Somebody who already flies, or somebody seriously weighing the $22,500 Premium Private Pilot program against the $15,900 Comprehensive one. In both cases the airframe is the reason for the booking and the money is well spent.
For a complete beginner it is the wrong card, and we would rather lose the difference than say otherwise. A first hour is better flown in a simpler airplane where nothing is interpreting the information for you, and that card starts at $229.
What The Recipient Will Notice
A glass flight deck that hands over information already assembled, turbocharging that matters on a hot day at a field performing like roughly 4,100 ft, and a whole-airframe parachute that changes the options available in an emergency. Only the two-hour denomination runs long enough to show what a fast single is actually for.
A more capable airplane does not make an easier first lesson. Usually the reverse.
What Is Behind It
- The fleet is bought, not borrowed. Six types, one owner, one maintenance program, and an inspection interval set by 14 CFR 91.409(b) because these airplanes teach for hire.
- The instructing staff numbers eleven. Three credentials are required of every one of them: a flight instructor certificate, an ATP or a commercial certificate behind it, and a medical that has not lapsed.
- There is an FAA-approved Redbird MCX on site, on a motion base and closed in. A session on its own is $189, and no session has ever been lost to weather.
- NOAA ASOS records for this field give 355 training days in the year ending 1 August 2026, tested against 3,000 ft and 5 sm with four qualifying daytime hours needed before a day counts.

The assessment flight is the first hour of the syllabus and a two-way evaluation. You fly it from the left seat with an instructor beside you, they write down what they saw, and you get an honest read on whether the plan is realistic. It is loggable, and it is credited in full against enrolment if you enroll within 24 hours.
